FAQ - THE MAIN EVENT

What does my ticket cost include?

Your ticket cost includes selection of one hand painted ceramic bowl out of over 800 on display, a simple dinner of donated soup, bread, beer, wine and an evening of celebration and fellowship. You may choose to bid on items in our silent auction; bid on our online celebrity bowl auction, purchase additional bowls.

How does the event run? How long does the event last?

We will open the doors at 5 PM. Guests may choose one bowl as they enter..and while supplies last guest can choose more bowls to purchase. We anticipate the event will conclude at around 10:30 PM

How many people worked on making the bowls?

Bowls are hand painted by members of the community.  Individuals from all over the metro Detroit community attend weekly workshops to paint bowls, and area artists have donated time and bowls.  So, the answer? Too many people to count helped with making these bowls, and we are grateful for the huge investment of time and talent.

Is my bowl safe to use?

Yes – the bowls are microwave + dishwasher safe. The only reason we do not serve soup in the bowls at the event is because our volunteers have handled these pieces extensively during setup. After a good washing, your bowl should be good for a lifetime of use!

Can I make a donation to the event if I cannot attend?

Yes! Donations made on our website go directly to Cass Community Social Services.  Sponsorship Opportunities are also available, and, depending on the amount of your sponsorship, can include your business name in our sponsorship and/or marketing material.  Click here to MAKE A DONATION, and here for more INFORMATION ON BECOMING A SPONSOR.
